I Worked with the Alpe D’huez ski teams as well as professional cyclists during the build up to le tour de france in the spring’

Helen Chambers
Helen Chambers initially trained to professional level as a Dancer at the London Contemporary Dance School, and graduated with a BA Hons Degree (2:1)
With an enthusiastic interest and fascination for movement and the human body, Helen discovered she had a natural affinity with teaching. She worked extensively teaching dance within both education and the community from 1997- 2014.
Having gained her Pilates qualification approx 8 years ago, Helen teaches as part of the Kendra Pilates Collective in Braunton, for The Physio Co in Barnstaple and as a freelance practitioner locally. She caters for all ages, levels and needs.
Helens journey has continued, quite organically, into the healthcare setting where she now works as part of the Neuro Therapy team at NDDH as their Exercise Specialist Practitioner.
This involves working with people who have long term neurological conditions (such as MS,PD and Stroke) with varying degrees of severity.Helen supports people, delivers neuro specific exercise classes, and prescribes exercise programmes at home or in the studio/gym.
This experience and ongoing learning helps to inform, influence and enhance her teaching/coaching within other contexts greatly.
In addition to her teaching experience, Helen has done a year of Midwifery Degree training, giving her knowledge and insight into to physiological and emotional journey of pregnancy and birth.
She has also recently qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist to complement her practice, deepen her anatomical knowledge and add another string to her bow.
Helen is able to offer Group classes, Private coaching, Sports Massage Therapy, Neuro Rehab Exercise Specialist, Pre and Post Natal Body Conditioning
